Edith's Birthday/The Detroit Zoo/Grandparents and Stacey and Josh visit

Today we went to the Detroit Zoo with the kids, Lita, Stacey and Josh and Grandma and Grandpa we really did not get many pictures since we were enjoying the animals and it was kind of hot. Josh took Stuey for a walk in Isaac's stroller and we all had a good time hanging out in the house. We ordered Chinese food for Lita's Birthday, had cake and opened presents.

Rick and Hillary Visit - Part III - 052807

Grandma Hillary took a lot of pictures (around 200) today....some of them were really great! I picked some out and posted them. There are a few of Isaac hanging out watching Diego, playing football with Grandpa, and in the park with Grandma. There are also some nice shots of Olivia modelling one of her new outfits.

On Sunday we took the kids to the park. Isaac had a great time as usual playing on the swings, sliding down the hill and climbing on the structures and rocks. Olivia on the other hand, was content to sleep the entire time in her stroller.

Rick and Hillary Visit - Part I - 052607

Grandpa Rick and Grandma Hillary are in town this week visiting, which means I get to take a break from being the photographer and let Hillary take over. This also means you might see a few more pictures of me.

Olivia Comes Home - 052407

Well today was the day we brought Olivia home. After we saw Miriam's Dr.(there is a picture of him on the picture link), Olivia's Dr. and filled out all of the paperwork we headed home around 11 AM. Isaac, Edith, Natanya and Cosmo met us at the door. Isaac was extremely excited to meet his baby sister Olivia!!! He could not wait to talk to her, touch her, and kiss her. Cosmo seemed to feel the same way.

After introductions we all went out for lunch(Olivia slept through the entire meal in her car seat). On the way home Isaac fell asleep and we all went in side to get settled in. We introduced Olivia to her room and her new bassinet which she seemed very comfortable in.

Olivia's First Days

Olivia came at the perfect time. We had just put Isaac to sleep on Monday night, brought the new car home and purchased the double-stroller online. As we sat down for a new episode of Entourage, Miriam's water broke. Lita (Miriam's mom) came over in record time and after some milling around and last minute packing we were off to the hospital.



The first four hours were tough but after a blessed epidural things progressed nicely. By 8:00 AM Dr. Z was summoned and at 8:14 AM on May 22, 2007 Olivia was born. For reasons unknown, we like to have our babies on the 22nd of the month (Isaac's Birthday is on 1/22/05).

Welcome to the World Olivia!

Olivia Guadalupe Lubin was born today, Tuesday May 22, 2007 at 8:14 AM. She weighs 6 lbs & 5ozs and is 20 inches long. Olivia already has brown curly hair like her mom. She and Miriam are doing great!

When we all get home I will post some pictures and videos. But for now I wanted to share the exciting news with everyone.

Isaac at Target

We made our weekly trip to target tonight. This is usually prompted by someone needing one thing and somehow we end up buying $200 worth of stuff we do not need...it also entails about 20-30 minutes of play time meandering up and down the 17 aisles of toys they have ranging from baby toys to remote control cars. It can be quite amusing watching Isaac play with all of the toys....this time we happened to have the video camera with us and caught a little bit.

Tonight we went to the new park in Birmingam to check it out. We had a great time! Isaac wore me out so I am too tired to write all about it, but Miriam took lots of videos, so enjoy....

Mother's Day 2007 - Dinner

Miriam, Isaac, and I met Abuelita Edith and Natanya at Jalapeno's for dinner to celebrate Mother's Day.

Isaac woke us up at 5Am this morning, so I took him down in the basement to try and let Miriam sleep a little bit more. Here are some videos of us signing her card and playing around.

Isaac - New Hat and Flute

Recently, Isaac has really enjoyed reading Dr. Suess, especially his current favorite, "The Cat in the Hat Comes Back." Abuelita Edith bought him a "Cat in the Hat" hat which he really likes wearing around the house.

Also, Miriam and I bought Isaac a new flute. He is learning how to play all on his own...

Nursery #2 - Shaping up....

Nursery #2 is starting to come together. Maria finished the cover for the rocker and we put it together tonight and arranged the furniture. Here are a few pictures. It is hard to tell due to the light but the chair is white and the cushions are yellow...

Isaac uses a fork

Tonight at dinner, Isaac was using his fork exceptionally well so, I decided to capture it on video. I also took another quick picture of his pillow set his Nanna Maria made him with his old bumper from his crib.
