Ice Cream on Memorial Day

While Miriam was out with a friend I took the kids to lunch and ice cream on Memorial Day.

It was hot and the soft-serve got really messy....which made it fun!

Olivia's Birthday Continues....at Chuck E. Cheese

Tonight we celebrated Olivia's Birthday with Natania, Jeff and Lita at Chuck E. Cheese.

We brought the Big Bird cake with us from yesterday and today, when I was cleaning out my closet, I actually found the Cookie Monster candle Grandma Hillary saved from my 3rd birthday!
Needless to say Olivia loved it...even if it was 34 yrs old!
We all had a good time as usual; playing the games, riding the rides(the roller coaster was a big hit!), eating pizza and cake. The kids collected tickets and each got a frog - what could be better than a frog!

Olivia's Turns Three!

Today was Olivia's 3rd Birthday. We had her party at the Kiddie Klub and we invited all her friends; Jacob, Annabeth, Cayden and from Pre-School; Ava and her brothers Zach and Adam, Gulia, Alex, Daniel.

Olivia decided she wanted Cookie Monster on her cake.

Tiffany gave Olivia some new shoes and Isaac helped her put them on.
After the party we headed home to open all of her presents.

Here are a few more pictures and some videos from the day!

The kids loved the minivan!

Olivia Performing an Experiment and Making her Birthday Snack for School

While I was travelling to Minneapolis and Chicago, Miriam took some pictures of Olivia doing her penny cleaning experiment and making her Birthday snack for pre-school.
I also took some pictures the other day of the kids watching tv. Olivia decided she wanted to make funny faces. Isaac wanted to wear gel in his hair like Noah....

Oh yeah, Isaac and I had free tickets to go see Shrek 4 in 3D last night...

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!

The day started off with Eggs' Benedict in bed, followed by a trip over to the house where we hung out, went to the park, met some neighbors and did some decorating.

The park is incredible, it has 5 baseball fields, tennis courts, basketballs courts and a brand new play structure overlooking the lake.

The kids decorated their "Book Nook"...Isaac coined this term for the area under the stairs in the basement.

Miriam and I decorated the kitchen and bathrooms a bit.
Isaac helped too and he decorated himself!

We met 4 families in our cul-de-sac and they all seemed extremely nice! Almost every house has kids although they are bit older....and every house has a dog. So Cosmo will have plenty of playmates!

Here are a few more pictures and some videos. There is also a walking tour of the house upon special request from Grandma Hillary....

The Mall of America & Oustide at the New House

This morning we headed to the Mall of America. We spent a few minutes in Lego Land and then went into Nickelodeon Universe. We rode a few rides and then had some lunch. We also found this store which had the best bean bags...it was called LoveSac.
Later this afternoon after playing in the pool we headed back to the house since it was nice out.
The kids explored the backyard and then created some chalk drawings in the driveway.

Here are a few pictures and some videos.

Our New House in Minneapolis

Today we closed on our new house in Eden Prairie, Minnesota! And no, there was not really snow there! That is the old picture from the real estate listing. Unfortunately, it was raining and I did not get a chance to take any outside pictures and we could not check out the yard, maybe tomorrow.

Anyway, after work I picked Miriam and the kids up at the airport and we went straight to the closing. After all of the paperwork was signed, we picked up a pizza and headed to the house to check it out.
The kids had a great time checking out their rooms, running around, hiding in the closets, decorating their bathroom, and playing in our bathtub (all three of them were in the tub and Isaac asked what does this do as he turned on the water...see the picture below)....so the kids ended up taking a bath!

We are all really happy and getting very excited for the move now!

Isaac's Pre-K Mother's Day Celebration

Today was the Mother's Day Celebration at Isaac's Pre-k. The kids sang 3 songs, see the prpgram below. It was very interactive - make sure you watch the video. They also prepared snacks and made pink lemonade before we got there.

The first song they sang was "I am Special" they sang it in English and in Spanish!

The favorite was clearly "Hip Hop Tooty-Ta"....this is when the moms got to join in the fun!
Isaac made Miriam a reusable shopping bag. You can see above where he painted "Mom" on it a few times. The back had a rainbow and a butterfly that he painted too.

Olivia also made a gift for Mom. It is already hanging in our family room.

Saturday was movie night with Lita and the kids watched Tom & Jerry:The Magic Ring, while Mom and Dad went mattress shopping.

Since Grandpa Ricky introduced them to Tom & Jerry it is one of their favorites! Thanks to On Demand and Netflix we can watch a few different ones...

Sunday we had a big day planned, we went to Bed, Bath and Beyond. We only made it to Bed & Bath....could not get to beyond.
...the kids were a bit tired and wanted to lay down in the shopping cart...which eventually evolved into them each having a shopping cart filled with pillows which were yanked off of the aisles. I think we spent more time walking around the store "restocking" the pillows then we did shopping....but the kids had fun.

Here are a few other pictures.
