Our trip to Albany to surprise Grandpa Ricky

On Thursday all four of us went to Albany to suprise Grandpa Ricky for his Birthday. Stacey and Josh met us there as well and we all stayed for a nice long weekend.

Isaac was pretty sick on Thursday but he was trooper and made it through the flight. When he got to Albany he pretty much slept all day to recuperate. We gave Ricky his gifts that night after dinner. He got a shirt from us (which did not fit...so he really did not get anything) and then Stacey and Josh wrapped up a pair of his jeans and gave them to him as a joke.....luckily he really got the presnet of having us all in town to celebrate for the weekend.

On Friday, Isaac, Olivia Ricky, Hillary and Miriam went to the library to read some pop-up books while Stacey, Josh and I went to the JCC to workout. We all met at Price Chopper for lunch and Billy and Jessica just happened to be there as well. Jessica took Isaac on an adventure thorugh the grocery store and picked up some friends.

Friday night Hillary planned a big suprise party for Grandpa and Isaac. The entire family was there and we had a great time. Isaac especially liked playing with his Treasuer Island gift from Jessica and playing around under the table.

Saturday we went to lunch at Stacey's favorite Pizza shop....the infamous Lou-Bea's Pizza!

Finally,Staurday night we went to dinner to celebrate Grandpa's Birthday again. Nadine babysat Olivia and Isaac got to go out with the adults for a nice steak dinner. Since he did so well(and because I wanted some ice-cream too) we ordered the Ice-Cream Playgorund dessert to share after dinner.

Sunday afternoon we headed home after a great weekend with the family.

Happy 3rd Birthday Isaac!!!

Miriam took Isaac to the Birmingham Library today for his Birthday and they listened to story time. After the library they headed to "Makes me Nervous" which is actually Max & Erma's, for lunch and a Birthday Sundae.

Tonight after I got home we had a Birthday dinner with Lita and Natania where Isaac opened the remainder of his presents. He got some really great gifts thanks to everyone!!!

The Cranbrook Science Musuem

We all went to the Cranbrook Science Museum for kids today. We got lucky and the kids space exploration movie in the Planetarium was starting so we went there first. Isaac really liked the big moon and all of the planets. Then we checked out all of the rocks and the dinosaur bones.

Isaac's 3rd Birthday Party

Today we had a few friends(Amy, David, Michael, Nicholas, Natalie, Nancy, Craig, Melanie, Emma & Lita) over for Isaac's 3rd Birthday party. We all had dinner which was Isaac's favorite.... hot dogs.



Then we had a special surprise for the kids.....a pinata. Which was a big hit (pun intended). The toys which were in the pinata added some excitement to the party once somebody figured out if thrown, they stick to the ceiling!



After the pinata, we sat down to cake. The cake was chocolate with chocolate frosting, again upon request from the Birthday boy. Natania brought it over and had it specially decorated with Lighting McQueen one of Isaac's favorite characters



After cake we opened presents and played some more with the toys.

Isaac's 3 Year check up

Miriam and Olivia took Isaac to his 3 year check up at the pediatrician today.

He is 3 Feet tall

and

30 lbs.

Overall he got a very good report!!!

Olivia also got her flu shot and did not cry at all!!

Isaac's "Birthday Snack Day"

Isaac's class celebrated his 3rd Birthday today. When one of the students has a birthday they get to bring in their own snack of choice. Isaac and Miriam prepared fruit cups the night before and long pretzel rods ("like Grandpa eats") and brought them in for the kids.

Miriam and Olivia stayed at school all day with Isaac.

Isaac and Olivia Playing in Target

Miriam took the kids to target today and Isaac helped pull Olivia around while they were playing in the toy aisle.

Olivia's 7th Month Picture....a little delayed.

Here are some pictures Miriam took of Olivia for her 7th month picture.

She will be 8 months old on Isaac's 3rd Birthday next Tuesday, 1/22/08.

This week she has started to; clap, almost sit up on her own, and can pull her self up on the crib playpen and bed.

Blueberry Smoothies and a Pirate at Border's

Today Isaac woke up and wanted to make a blueberry smoothie so after we got dressed he, Miriam and Olivia blended away. Olivia seemed the most excited about this.

Then later we headed to the library, we went to the Rochester library and then the Auburn Hills library both were closed, so we took a break had lunch and headed to Border's. Here Isaac and I found a treasure box full of pirate paraphernalia.

Isaac Goes Sledding

Last night we got about 8 inches of snow so this morning we decided to go out and play in the snow. Since Olivia has a little bit of a runny nose we brought her over to Lita's house while Isaac, Miriam, Cosmo and I went sledding. I am not sure who had more fun, Isaac, Cosmo, Miriam or me!

After sledding, Isaac wanted to play a little bit in the park too. He went down the slide and played on the swing a bit.
