Miriam's Birthday

Well, the first day back from vacation was Miriam's Birthday....Olivia helped her make cupcakes and we had a nice relaxing dinner at home to celebrate.

In the morning the kids made some decorations (see above the door) and a special candle holder (see bottle in Miriam's hand).

Florida Trip 2013

 

It was getting a bit cold in Minnesota this winter so we planned a trip to Florida to visit Grandma Hillary and Grandpa Ricky.  We spent a few days at the pool and the beach relaxing and soaking up the nice weather.

We spotted some manatees before our Sea life Excursion....

Olivia is holding a jelly fish, one of the many sea creatures we e found living in the sea grass.  We also found, seahorses, crabs, pipe fish, shrimp and puffer fish!

Valentine's Day 2013 & Squishy Water!!!

Olivia's Kindergarten class had a friendship Party.  Miriam surprised me with a Poker table and a chip set!!  Check out the video and some more pictures here.

Isaac's 2nd Grade Concert

Isaac had his second grade concert tonight.  There were 6 second grade classes all singing together.

A few weeks ago he came home very excited and told us he got the solo!! At that time I did not realize that he was the only one in his class that got it.  He did a great job.

He is in the front row in the blue striped sweater....make sure to make the video as big as possible on your screen.  His solo starts at the 2:15 mark....and ends around 2:18.

Polar Cubs

Today was Polar Cubs for Isaac and his den.  We took the kids up North for the day and spent it outside, hiking, tubing, playing games and basically enjoying the snow.   It was a busy, tiring, wet, cold, hot, sweaty, but very fun day!!

We went skiing again this weekend.

oooh ooh ooh it's Magic!....Isaac's 8th Birthday Party

Today was Isaac's 8th Birthday party. Lately, he has been really into Magic. He has been practicing tricks on his own and even asked to have a Magician at his party. A few weeks ago, Isaac and I were at a Cub Scouting event and he saw a Magician, so we invited him to the party.

 

 As you can see from the picture above Isaac was all decked out in his Magician outfit!

When the kids arrived they worked on building their "magic tubes".  Then the kids where able to do their own tricks at home.  Then we went downstairs for "Laser Frenzy!"  

After that we had cake and opened presents. 

Then it was time for the magic show.  The show involved lots of live animals and FIRE!  Almost all of the kids were able to volunteer to be part of the show and they all really got a kick out of it.
