Isaac losese his first tooth!!!

After several weeks of having a loose tooth and eating out of the side of his mouth, Isaac finally lost his first tooth! 

The story is that one of his friends at school pulled it out for him....

Isaac's 7th Birthday

Sunday was Isaac's 7th Birthday. We decided to have his party at our house this year.

 He invited about 10 kids over and we had a few activities planned.

Happy Birthday Isaac!!!

The Lemon Battery Experiment

Isaac decided he wanted to participate in the Science Fair at the high school this year. So a few weeks ago we developed a project using the Since Project book Grandma Hillary gave him. Then we gathered all of the materials. Isaac was really interested in the experiment and really stuck with it! We had to perform the experiment a few times with different materials to get it to work. He kept all his notes; Problem statement, hypothesis, materials, process, observations and conclusions all in a log book.

This is Isaac's "Evil Scientist Look"..... We all learned a lot and had a lot of fun!

The actual Science Fair was on Saturday (1/21). We did a dry run of his presentation in the morning at home.

Then we packed up all of his materials and headed to the Science Fair. Isaac did a great job setting up his booth. Then he spent 2 hours explaining his project and answering questions from the 3 judges and many other interested students and parents. We also got to see a lot of other interesting science projects and meet a lot of smart kids.
