Olivia's 5th Month Photo Shoot

We got Olivia all dressed up for her 5th Month photo shoot. She was really excited as you can tell from some of the pictures. She was even trying to sit up a bit on her own.

I was playing with Olivia and Felix today here are some pictures. Felix used to be Aunt Stacey's then she gave him to Isaac and now Olivia plays with him.

Isaac performs a Beatles Medley

Isaac decided he wanted to put on a show today on our way out so I grabbed the video camera.

He wanted to cover some of the Beatles songs. He led off with his own rendition of "Love me do" ....he rewrote some of the lyrics a bit.

Then he followed that by "Yellow Submarine", "I am the Walrus", the "Best Friend" song(which he actually wrote himself) and an encore of "I am the Walrus".

Pumpkin Carving 2007

This morning we decided to carve the pumpkin. Isaac was a big help as you will see from the pictures. Oliva seemed to enjoy it too! Isaac chose Dracula this year.

Tonight while Miriam was at work we were playing a little in the basement and I took some pictures and a video of Olivia in her bouncy seat.

Isaac's 1st Open House

Last night we went to Isaac's school for his first open house.

He brought Miriam and I into the classroom and introduced us to his teachers and showed us some of his favorite activities. Afterwards, we went into the gymnasium had a snack and the kids sang a few songs. Isaac was pretty tired by that point and was more interested in his new Slinky then singing.

The infamous "Cardboard Park"

We took the kids to the park in Birmingham, which Isaac refers to as the "Cardboard Park". As you can see from the pictures, this is because everyone comes to the park with a piece of cardboard they can you as a "pseudo-sled" (note: I just coined that term) to propel themselves down the AstroTurf hill.

We have been there several times and typically Isaac insists that I ride along with him. This time we decided that he would try and go by himself. We started halfway up the hill and then we went to the top with him holding our hands. Eventually he was going down the hill from the top.

While Miriam was playing with Isaac on the hill I took some pictures and then decided to get on the swing with Olivia. This was her first time on the swing at the park, but she has quite a bit of experience in the swing at home, however, she was still a little uncertain at first. She eventually began enjoying it even as Isaac was helping with the pushing (with a running start I might add...which is why I look so concerned in one picture).

Isaac plays football

Here is a video of Isaac playing football. He wanted to pretend it was snowing outside so he put his gloves and hat(football helmet) on first.

BeforeI took Isaac to school on Wednesday he wanted to try on his costume again. Here are a couple videos. Now you can hear his roar too! The first video got cut off because I ran out of memory, but after deleting some older videos I was able to take anotehr one.

Our trip to Chicago (Sunday)

Sunday we woke up early(of course). We had breakfast in the room and then headed down to the pool. After the pool we spent some time relaxing in the room and then headed for a quick lunch(Isaac took some pictures of me and Lita at lunch) and out to the airport.

Our trip to Chicago (Friday Night and Saturday)

Protiviti was hosting a party on Friday night in Chicago so I flew out Thursday night and Miriam, Edith, Isaac and Olivia met me there Friday afternoon. Miriam and I went to the party and Isaac, Olivia and Edith stayed in the room and had a "picnic" and watched movies.

On Saturday, we went to the Shedd Aquarium. We checked out the Amazon rain forest exhibit and the Wild Reef exhibit. Both of the kids were mesmerized by the fish. Then we went to watch the Dolphin show. After that we headed back to the W and the kids fell asleep in the cab and we all continued our nap in the hotel.

After our nap, we all went out for a walk and made a few stops along the way. We had a late lunch at the Sushi restaurant, then headed up to Michigan avenue and spent a few hours at the LEGO store (HINT:For Hanukkah, David... uh, I mean Isaac really liked a few of the sets.)

After that we headed to Millennium park. Then back to the room for a Chicago deep dish pizza and bedtime.

Isaac's First Halloween Costume

Isaac's school is having a Halloween parade this year. When we asked him what he wanted to be he asked if he could be a lion. We ordered him a lion costume. Here are some pictures of when he tried it on. In the middle two pictures he is practicing his ROAR!!!
