Trip to Disney - Epcot

So after Animal Kingdom we headed over to Epcot for the afternoon. We took the Disney shuttle and the first thing we did was ride Spaceship Earth. The wait was only 5 min....I remember when I was there in 1982 we waited almost 2 hrs! The kids really enjoyed this, it has since been updated and now they have touchscreens in the ride where you can answer questions and design your own future.

Throughout the week we made a lot of bathroom stops.... so it became a running joke that anytime we passed a bathroom someone had to go!

While at Epcot we rode, Spaceship Earth, Journey into your Imagination, The Seas with Nemo and of course we toured the World Pavilion. Here Olivia got to meet another Princess. We also celebrated Miriam's Birthday at Bistro de Paris, which was the whole reason we went to Disney!

Trip to Disney - Animal Kingdom

Another early day! Olivia was sleeping with her new friend Simba in anticipation of going to Animal Kingdom. At Animal Kingdom we headed straight to the Kilimanjaro Safari which was incredible. We saw a ton of amazing animals. Then we took in a few shows; the Festival of the Lion King and Finding Nemo. Then we rode Dinosaur!....see Olivia below pretending to be a an angry dino...

See the gorilla in the background? There were quite a few on the trail, we watched one put a picnic blanket down and have a snack...pretty interesting.

Trip to Disney - Hollywood Studios

This morning we woke up early again. Grandpa Ricky and Grandma Hillary said goodbye and headed back to Ft. Meyers and we got on the Disney shuttle and headed to Hollywood Studios.

It was cold!

We headed straight to Jedi Training, where Olivia and Isaac would be trained to take on Darth Vader and the Dark Side. We rode Star Tours twice, watched the Muppets in 3D, Beauty and the Beast, Indiana Jones Epic Stunts, the Voyage of the Little Mermaid and rode Toy Story Mania.
Then we had dinner at the Sci-Fi Drive In where we had dinner in our own '57 Chevy while watching old sci-fi movies on a big screen.

Trip to Disney - Magic Kingdom

Well today was the big day! We all woke up super early to catch the bus to the Magic Kingdom. Everyone was very excited when we arrived. The Mayor (not Grandpa Ricky!) opened the park with all of the character who arrived by train. On the way in we saw a few princesses and headed straight to the attractions. We rode the Tomorrowland Speedway, Tomorrowland Transit, Space Mountain, Pirates of the Carribean, Mickey's Philharmagic, It's a Small World, the Astro Oribiter, Buzz Lightyear's Space Adventure, Monster's Inc. Laugh Floor, Prince Charmings Regal Carousel, Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress and Peter Pan's Flight.



We had dinner and stayed all the way until the parade and the fireworks (it was cold!).



Overall an absolutely amazing day with the kids and the Grandparents!

Trip to Disney - Character Dinnner

Well after we got settled in at the hotel, it was time to go to dinner with Cinderella, her evil step sisters and her evil step-mother. Prince Charming was there as well.....No, not David the real one! 

The kids got a real kick out of meeting all of the characters.  

Olivia and Isaac were really swept away by the whole situation.....Grandpa Ricky was quite impressed with Cinderella!

After dinner it was back to the hotel to get some rest for our big day at Magic Kingdom tomorrow!

Trip to Disney for Miriam's Big Birthday! - Ft. Meyers

So Thursday we flew in to Ft. Meyers and met Grandma Hillary and Grandpa Ricky We spent the afternoon in their pool and then went out for dinner (of course!)

Friday we went to the "Orange place" where we drank orange juice, bought some oranges and Isaac threw his snake up on the roof!!!   Orange you glad we went Grandpa?

Then we hit the beach...
