Lita's Easter Visit

After dance class we took the light rail for the first time. The kids have been asking to ride it since we moved here! We did not know where it would take us but we ended up at Minnehaha Falls. We stopped for lunch and then took a walk over to the falls, where we saw some Aztec Dancers and had some ice cream.
On Easter Sunday Isaac was taking pictures in front of the house and caught a few of the Easter bunny!
We also headed to Sky Zone...definitely check out the videos of this...

Finally, we took Lita to the MN Landscape Arboreteum.

Bunk Beds Arrive Early!!

We got a call Friday night that Isaac's bunk beds had arrived at the warehouse 2 weeks early, so I decided to drive out and pick them up. When I got back Isaac, Olivia and I put them together.

Afterwards the kids played a bit before bed.

The next day Isaac decorated them a bit with his stickers and stuffed animals.

Olivia's Passover Party

On Friday, Olivia's school had a passover party. All of the kids had decorated their slave costumes. They than walked into the desert and built a pyramid with the Pharaoh (Olivia's teacher!).

Moses (the Rabbi) came and freed them all and led them out of the desert. The kids got to make matzoh and then we had a short Seder.

Bikes, Bunk Beds and No Training Wheels

Saturday while Isaac was at a Birthday party we took Olivia to buy her first bicycle! She absolutely loves it!

On Saturday both Isaac and Olivia were riding around the cul-de-sac and Isaac asked if we could try without his training wheels. So I took them off we put on his pads and gave it a shot. On the first try he was up and riding. It was amazing!

That day we also bought Isaac some bunk beds, but they will not arrive for 3 wks so that was a bit anticlimactic...but he is still excited. Plus it was 75 degrees and sunny.....a Great Weekend!

Olivia's 1st Dance Class

Olivia had her first dance class the other day. It was downtown in a real dance studio. She really loved it. That night as she fell asleep she said "Dad, I really liked dance class, can I go again?"

Unfortunately, parents are only allowed to watch for the last 5 minutes. Her first recital is May 22(her Birthday)....so stay tuned I am sure we will have more pictures and videos then!

Isaac & Kenny Make a Movie

The other day, Isaac had his friend Kenny over and they seemed to have made their directorial debut.

The movie is an action thriller starring Kenny, produced and directed by Isaac. It is a short in the science fiction genre, where the Knights struggle against the Clones whom are persecuting them. It is a metaphor in its most classic sense and typifies the class struggle between the "haves" and the "have nots" which is so prevalent in our modern day society. The Knights (from what I can tell) are being held captive in the bunker only to be freed to escape persecution from the evil Clones. A modern day Passover, which is very timely, albeit without the plagues. The dynamic directorial duo just did not have the budget for the Hollywood special effects in their first production. Maybe in the sequel...stay tuned!
