Dinner and the Cardboard Park

Later this afternoon we met Rob, Anita, Jacob and Annabeth at the cardboard park. The kids slid down the hill until the thunderstorm started then we headed over to Salvatore Scallopini for dinner and ice cream.

After dinner back to the park...and what was there? A 95 pound African Tortoise of course!

and a bird. Isaac wanted to have the bird sit on hist shoulder but, the bird was too big so I had him on mine....I was really thrilled!

Antz at Apovini and Clawson Park

This afternoon we went to lunch at Apovini and Isaac discovered a few ants in the booth. He was watching them very carefully as they carried breadcrumbs and other food away. Olivia also was extremely interested.

It was another beautiful day, so after lunch, we headed to the Clawson park. Here we went on a squirrel watching expedition, played on the structures and in the mud puddles.

Animal Farm

Today we went to an Animal Farm in Canton. We met Rob, Anita, Jacob and Annabeth there.

The kids got to; ride horses, play in the bounce house, feed baby goats and baby pigs, milk a cow, play with rabbits, meet a clown, go for a hayride, explore the barn, eact hot dogs & Cheetoh's and then they each got a free book.

It was a beautiful day about 80 and sunny until we left. As soon we got in the car it started raining and we drove home in a Thunderstorm as the kids (and Miriam) fell asleep.

Trip to Albany

We all went to Albany this weekend to visit Grandpa Ricky and Grandma Hillary. Stacey, Josh and Gabriel met us there too. Gabriel is getting very big and CUTE! The kids had a great time playing with their cousin and have been talking about him since we left!

We had a great weekend, some highlights include:

• Trip to Hoffman's Playland
• "The Dead" at the Times Union Center
• Saratoga and the Children's Museum
• Dinner at Buffalo Wagon (believe it or not, this is a Pan-Asian restaurant!) with GG, Aunt Nadine, Uncle Michael, Uncle Billy, Aunt Joanne, Jessica, Eric & Alex.
• Board Games (from the '70s) in the Basement.
• Rehabbing the dollhouse which was started by Grandpa Ricky's Mother, 30 years ago.
• Home Cooked Dinner at home followed by blowing bubbles in the backyard and a trip to Frank's Ice Cream (AKA Jim Dandy's)

I forgot our camera so we will have to rely on Grandma Hillary, Aunt Stacey and Cousin Jessica to provide their pictures from the weekend.

Passover 2009

Last night we had our Sedar. Lita, Natania and Jeff came over to join us. Yes, we celebrated Easter early and Passover a little late....

Throughout the day Miriam and the kids cooked the matzo ball soup(this was caught on video) while I was working.

Natania and Jeff brought over Dora cupcakes which were a big hit with the kids. I think they still have blue hands and tongues from the icing.

Olivia eats edamame

Early Easter at Lita's

Since Miriam was going to be out of town on Easter Weeekend, we celebrated a week early. Lita made the kids baskets with lots of candy(Olivia loves "Nandy") and cookies, had balloons, an easter egg hunt and made brunch.

Later we decorated Easter eggs. We learned that the brown eggs do not work as good as the white eggs.
