Over the weekend the kids carved their own pumpkins with Miriam. I was sick and slept through most of the weekend, so unfortunately I missed this, but Miriam managed to catch a few pictures and a video of Isaac singing the Jack-o-Lantern song.
By Tuesday, I was feeling better and I was able to help Isaac carve the "big" pumpkin. We decided to carve both sides, one with his drawing and one with mine.
He drew a ghost which I helped him carve...and he helped me carve a skull.

Miriam caught her initial reaction on video and then when Isaac came home from school we caught his reaction to his new BIG MATTRESS (I am not kidding it is like two mattresses in height, almost as tall as he is!). We gave Olivia his old mattress so he would get something new too...
The kids really enjoyed it. Here are a few more pictures.
While I was out of town golfing, Miriam took the kids out to go apple picking. From the pictures it looks like they did everything but actually pick apples!

Today was Isaac's Pre-K field trip. I took the day off work and went with him to school and then we headed to the farm.
At the farm they gave each child an apple and let the kids press them into juice(the old fashioned way). They also talked about some of the local wildlife and how they are preparing for winter by hibernating and growing heavier coats, which was apropos since it was freezing!
