Mother's Day Weekend

We had a very active weekend celebrating Mother's day.

On Saturday, we all went flower shopping to prepare for our annual "Move the Pots!" day. Miriam and Isaac picked out some flowers together. At one point, Isaac separated from the group and picked out his own flat of pansies and delivered them to Mom...see picture above.

After we were done picking out flowers, we took a walk over to the shrub and tree section and I gave Miriam and the kids a ride in the "Purple Cart. All three of them really got a kick out of me pushing it up the hills and navigating around the patio furniture displays.

We then came home and planted some Sod and set up the sprinklers for the season.

Saturday Night, Lita came over so Miriam and I could head to Ann Arbor for a Mother's Day Eve celebration at one of our favorite restaurants (ironically named Eve). While Mom and Dad got ready, Isaac and Lita were hard at work with the Skyscraper Construction project. It was a pretty intricate design; accommodating several modes of transportation, there was a parking garage(including a ramp with a tunnel) and a helipad for the VIP clientele.

Sunday (Mother's Day) it was raining so we could not plant any flowers, so we went to the Mall with the objective to get sneakers for Isaac. While we were at Macy's Isaac saw a blazer "Like Daddy wears to work" and he wanted to try it on. He wanted to try on some fancy pants too but we opted not to do that and stick to the mission.

We did get some new sneakers!! They are very cool!!!! They are called Superballs and have "superballs" in the soles for cushioning.

The new SuperBall® heel component delivers maximum energy return on impact. But built-in multidirectional traction lugs keep kids on their feet no matter how fast they're going. Mid-sole cushioning support ensures those feet will stay cushioned and protected with each step (or leap!).

Sunday night, we had a very nice dinner at Edith's where we met Natania and her friend Jeff.

See all of the pictures....
