Wildlife Nature Reserve

Saturday we went to the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge. We stopped in the visitor center to borrow some binoculars and we were able to see a ton of birds at the feeders right out side the window. We then headed out to the overlook to check out the view and use the telescope.

We decided to hike down one of the trails. Along the walk we found an interesting swamp, with some frogs, and some fallen trees. Miriam and the kids decided to climb on the logs and see if they could make it all the way across...
Isaac almost made it all the way across......but then he slipped and fell in!

After that we headed home cleaned up and headed to Norah's Birthday party at the Como Zoo. We got a personal tour of the aquatic center and the Polar bear exhibit.
